This was my last tune-up race before the Tokyo Marathon.

The performance was a bit disappointed, almost the same as it was last year.

The start was congested and chaotic, running the risk of crashing against the bollards. So the 1st K took more than 5'.

The weather was cool and there was drizzle towards the end. The cream of the HK running expatriate community( notably Thomas and Stefano) was here and outran the local representatives.

My splits were as follows:

5'06 4'50 4'55 4'51 4'51

24'32
4'46 4'48 4'52 4'56 4'35

23'57

My chronograph : 48'33
official :49'16
chip: 48'29

The final 200m or so

I noted too this guy running with his K-9 obviously in breach of the race rules

Immediately afterwards I left my baggage at the Shatin sportsgrounds and continued my LSD of 20K looping the Shatin > Taipo Tolo Harbour stretch
